“ Favorite Thai restaurant in Pimlico ! Small and quiet restaurant close to Pimlico station runing by a family from Thailand. Delicious Thai food very tasty flavorful ( but small portions). Prices reasonable and staff friendly . Good quick service . Highly recommend ”
“ My friends and I were looking for a place in Pimlico. We all really wish that we found it sooner. We ordered spring rolls, tom kha soup, pad Thai, pad see ewe, Massaman curry, and red curry with duck. Every dish was incredible from start to finish. Thai is my favorite and this place made me very happy! Additionally, the waitstaff was outstanding. Especially Ash, who was fantastic from start to finish: friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely attentive. If you're wondering if you should try it...stop reading this and get over there right now!! ”
“ I have finally found my go-to Thai place! I ordered scallops for starter and pad thai for main. Scallops were good, though nothing too outstanding. However, the pad thai was the best I had ever had in London thus far! Absolutely flavourful and cooked just the right way -- I couldn't put my fork down by the end. Ambience was simple but clean and good. A sort of neighbourly place with not too many bells and whistles. Service was excellent. The waiter was prompt to re-seat us proactively, telling us that two parties will be arriving on our either side who will most likely be noisy. He constantly came to check on us and make sure that all was good. A very friend staff overall. I'd go back in a heart beat! ”
“ This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in London. It's nestled away in Pimlico, and it can be hard to find if you're not looking for it, but it's worth checking out. I've lived in Pimlico for years, and I only discovered it by accident a few months before I moved out of the neighborhood. It's basically between Victoria and Pimlico tube stations (it's closer to Pimlico than Victoria). It's definitely the best Asian restaurant in Pimlico. If you're a Pimlico local, it's definitely a must do. The food is great and reasonably priced. Their curries are spicy but delicious! I don't know what they put in their dry green curry (maybe I shouldn't ask), but it was amazing--and I normally prefer red (the dry red curry is also tasty). The tofu in mushroom/ginger sauce is actually my favorite dish--be sure to get it with coconut rice. The staff are friendly, and there is plenty of seating (although it may not appear that way if you were to walk by). The ground floor has a second room in the back. They also have additional seating in the basement (not that sitting down there would be your first choice, but it's nice to know you won't get turned away even if they're busy). They also do take-away, which became a weekly tradition at my place. ”
“ Been coming here for the last 2 years and generally liked it for its pleasant, efficient service and wholesome food. Ate there last night and noticed that the staff were different? A couple of things felt different? Has there been a change of ownership? The mixed started platter for 2 was tasty and reliable as well as well presented. We both had green curries which tasted good although the taste was different from before. It was a bit less savory and seemingly a little 'harsher'? May be more seasoning with fish sauce and sugar would improve this? Overall, we were pleased that the curry sauce was of a lovely, broth like consistency and not too thickened with coconut milk. ”
“ Great little neighbourhood gem - don't go anywhere, Thai Cafe! The food is delicious and authentic, the staff are always really friendly and it's not too pricey either. Not the livliest place to eat (everyone seems ot whisper to each other for some reason) but relaxing all the same and they do takeaway too. I'm glad to have this place on my doorstep! ”
“ The Have I Got News For You Table or the soft erotica table? Well the choice is yours at the fabulous little restaurant that is the Thai Cafe - along with numerous other table options. The tables have been put together with newspaper clippings under a glass table top to give you some reading material outside of the menu and something to chat about with the rest of your table. It actually works surprisingly well and the theme is continued with cartoons such as Giles up the walls and then little groupings of clippings in various places on the ceiling such as presidents of the USA, with an amusingly placed cassette slapped underneath Nixon. As has already been said it's an intimate little place with booths along the right and regular tables in the rest of the place and the kitchen at the back. The food is great here and a bargain as well - there's a wide selection with all sorts of dishes on offer though the staples of green and red curry are both very tasty. For those who know their Thai food they have off menu offerings available as well. As to the staff? Well I don't know if I've ever been to a friendlier happier restaurant - just genuinely nice people who really care that their diners have a good time, and make sure they get to know the locals. The only mild issue with service is occasionally food can arrive at slightly random times - but a bit of banter with the staff and this actually just becomes part of the fun and is a rarity anyway. Oh one final thing - its bring your own booze, and there are plenty of shops or supermarkets nearby to make that simple to do on the way in. All in - it's a great little place, go pay it a visit and you won't be disappointed. ”
